A.K. Singh

Dr. Arvind Kumar Singh (born 1959) is a Professor in Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology, Jiwaji University, Gwalior (M.P.), obtained Master’s Degree in two disciplines (AIHCA & Museology) and Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University, awarded the University Medal and Anant Sadāśiva Altekar Medal for securing First Position In Postgraduate Examination. Fellowship and Projects from different agencies were awarded to him. He is deeply involved in research, mostly in the field of Paleography and Epigraphy. He has seventy five research papers to his credit besides six books: Development of Nagari Script, Prachin Bharatiya Murtikala evam Chitrakala, Corpus of Lichchhavi Inscriptions of Nepal, Coins of the Great Kushanas, Sangrahalaya Vijnan, Bharatiya Vastu tatha Kala ke Mula Tatva. He participated in a number of archaeological exploration work, seminar, conference and Workshops.
